This is a new position resulting from the growth of Medvantx and would suit a software engineer who is seeking technical ownership and to make an impact with their subject matter expertise in cloud application development and API integration.
This role is ideal for someone eager to grow and develop under the mentorship of senior technologists. This position is remote.
Job Summary/Objective
As a Software Engineer, your primary focus will be on backend application development, data integration, and the development of reporting solutions using Power BI. You’ll work closely with internal teams and clients to develop scalable solutions involving Pharmacy Information Systems (PIS) and Electronic Medical Records (EMRs), inventory systems, and services such as SMS communication, payment processors, and data pipelines. You’ll also contribute to limited front- end development for internal projects, and work on developing data-driven insights and reports to empower our business teams.

Key Responsibilities:
The key responsibilities of this role are as follows:- Develop and maintain software solutions with a focus on 60% backend and 40% frontend development.
- Support legacy systems while contributing to the development of new systems built on the Microsoft stack (Azure, .NET).
- Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements, prioritize tasks, and deliver high- quality solutions.
- Collaborate with data analysts and data engineers to support ETL Processes and data warehousing initiatives.
- Provide input on technical decisions and contribute to the overall architecture of the software systems.
- Manage support tickets and troubleshoot technical issues as they arise.
- Support Sales meeting with prospects from a technical perspective as needed.
Critical Skills
- Strong backend development experience with RESTful APIs - Back-end: .NET, C#
- Proficiency in Azure native application components, Azure DevOps and CI/CD pipelines
- Database: Azure SQL DB and MS SQL for modeling, migration, and integration tasks
- Front-end: Vue.js, HTML, CSS, React
- Skilled knowledge in ETL processes and data migration, SQL Server Integration and Reporting Services (SSIS/SSRS).
- BI & Reporting: Power BI reporting and dashboard development, understanding of data models
- Knowledge of Pharmacy Management Information Systems or Electronic Medical Records.
Highly Desirable Skills
- Knowledge of Quality Management Systems and Product Development Processes
- Working knowledge of agile product development practices
- Working knowledge of Power BI Reporting and data warehouses
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field, or comparable work experience
- 5+ year's experience in a software engineering, development operations engineering, database administration, or product development role
