About Medvantx
Medvantx is on a mission to improve medication access by integrating with client systems, providing seamless connectivity across Pharmacy Information Systems (PIS), Electronic Medical Records (EMRs), and more. Our platform powers a network of services—pharmaceutical manufacturers, healthcare hubs, SMS, payment processors, and call centers—to streamline medication fulfillment and patient care. As we grow, we're looking for a hands-on software engineer to help build, enhance and maintain our Medvantx Insights Platform.
Job Summary/Objective
As a Software Integration Engineer, your primary focus will be on backend application development, data integration, and the development of reporting solutions using Power BI. You’ll work closely with internal teams and clients to develop scalable solutions involving EMRs, PIS’s, inventory systems, and services such as SMS communication, payment processors, and data pipelines. You’ll also contribute to limited front-end development for internal projects, and work on developing data-driven insights and reports to empower our business teams. This role is ideal for someone eager to grow and develop under the mentorship of senior engineers, and while experience leading others is a plus, it is not required.

Key Responsibilities
- Build solutions integrating external services (e.g., SMS, payment processors) with the Medvantx Insights Platform
- Support projects from a technical perspective as needed
- Support application reported tickets where technical investigation is required
- Support Sales meeting with prospects from a technical perspective as needed
- Develop front-end integration related to pharmacy business rules
- Document technical artifacts in the form of Epic Features, User Stories, Enablers, and their associated Acceptance Criteria
- Model technical workflows and/or sequence diagrams of solutions
- Collaborate with data analysts and data engineers to support ETL processes and data warehousing initiatives
Critical Skills
- Front-end: Vue.js, HTML, CSS, React
- Strong backend development experience with RESTful APIs - Back-end: .NET, C#
- Skilled knowledge in ETL processes and data migration, SQL Server Integration and Reporting Services (SSIS/SSRS).
- Database: Azure SQL DB and MS SQL for modeling, migration, and integration tasks
- BI & Reporting: Power BI reporting and dashboard development, understanding of data models
- Proficiency in Azure native application components, Azure DevOps and CI/CD pipelines
- Knowledge of Pharmacy Management Information Systems or Electronic Medical Records
Highly Desirable Skills
- Knowledge of Quality Management Systems and Product Development Processes
- Working knowledge of agile product development practices
- Working knowledge of Power BI Reporting and data warehouses
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field, or comparable work experience
- 5+ year's experience in a software engineering, development operations engineering, database administration, or product development role
